About

Virginia Giuffre (Born Virginia Louise Roberts) was an American advocate. She spent much of her childhood in Florida, where she moved around often and faced bouts of homelessness. She later attended Royal Palm Beach High School.

Initially known as a Jane Doe, Giuffre became widely known in 2015 after identifying herself as one of the women alleging that she had been trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell as a teenager. She gained international attention following Epstein’s 2019 indictment and arrest. She was featured in the 2020 Netflix docuseries Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich and became a prominent figure in media coverage surrounding Epstein’s network.

She filed a civil lawsuit against Prince Andrew in 2021, accusing him of allegedly sexually abusing her when she was 17. He denied all accusations. The case was settled out of court in 2022 with an undisclosed financial sum paid to her and her nonprofit organization. She founded Speak Out, Act, Reclaim (SOAR), which advocates for survivors of sex trafficking.

Giuffre also authored an unpublished memoir titled The Billionaire’s Playboy Club. The memoir was later used as evidence in court.

She was married to Robert Giuffre, an Australian, and they share children Christian, Noah and Emily. The pair separated in early 2025.

On April 25, 2025, she died by suicide in her Australia home.
