Whitney Cummings is a comedian, actress and producer. Cummings spent her childhood in Washington D.C. and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in communications. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy.

The comedian landed a job on MTV’s Punk’d shortly after moving and, in 2007, she began making regular appearances on Chelsea Lately. She later landed a role in the 2008 rom-com Made of Honor. She premiered her first comedy special, Whitney Cummings: Money Shot, on Comedy Central in 2010. The following year, she created the series Whitney, which aired for two seasons before being canceled in 2013. She later created the Emmy-winning sitcom 2 Broke Girls with Michael Patrick King, which starred Kat Dennings, Beth Behrs and Jennifer Coolidge.

The show ran for six seasons and earned Whitney numerous accolades. Since the show’s end, she has hosted a number of TV specials, including Whitney Cummings: Jokes (2022) and Whitney Cummings: Mouthy (2023). She also hosts her own podcast titled “Good For You,” which she launched in 2019.

The actress is also an author and published her book I’m Fine…And Other Lies in 2017.

Whitney was previously engaged to actor and entrepreneur Miles Skinner, but the couple called off their engagement in 2020. The following year, she was linked to Alex Barnes. She welcomed a son in December 2023 and has not revealed the identity of her child’s father.
