Yvonne Strahovski

Yvonne Strahovski (born Yvonne Jaqueline Strzechowsk) is an Emmy-nominated Australian actress best known for her role on Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale. Strahovski got her start acting in school productions and went on to earn a degree in performing arts from University of Western Sydney’s Theatre Nepean in 2003.

Strahovski started her career in Australian television, appearing in shows like HeadLand and Sea Patrol. In 2007, she moved to the U.S. and landed her breakout role as CIA agent Sarah Walker on NBC’s Chuck, which ran for five seasons. She continued to build her career with a high-profile role on Dexter as Hannah McKay.

In 2017, she debuted on Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale as Serena Joy Waterford, a role that earned her multiple Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

The actress has also done film work and boasts credits on movies such as The Guilt Trip (2012), The Predator (2018) and Scrambled (2023). She has voiced characters in a handful of video games and films, including Outback (2012).

Strahovski married actor and producer Tim Loden in 2017. The couple share three sons, born in 2018, 2021 and 2023.
