About

Zac Brown is a country music singer and songwriter best known as the frontman of the Grammy-winning Zac Brown Band. Brown was raised in Dahlonega, Georgia, as the 11th of 12 children. He learned to play guitar at a young age and grew up performing in local venues. He later attended the University of West Georgia before pursuing music full-time.

Brown formed the Zac Brown Band in the early 2000s and built a fan base through grassroots touring. The band’s debut major-label album, The Foundation, was released in 2008 and went multiplatinum, launching their rise in the country music scene.

The group earned critical and commercial success with hits like “Chicken Fried,” “Toes,” “Colder Weather” and “Knee Deep.” The band has released multiple albums, including You Get What You Give (2010), Uncaged (2012) and Welcome Home (2017). Zac Brown Band has won three Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist in 2010. Outside of the band, Brown has explored electronic and pop influences through his solo project, Sir Rosevelt.

Brown married Shelly Brown in 2006. The couple welcomed children Justice, Lucy, Georgia, Joni and Alexander before announcing their separation in 2018. Brown wed model Kelly Yazdi in 2023, but they split just months later. He got engaged to jewelry designer Kendra Scott in 2025.
