About

Carly Pearce is a Grammy Award-winning country music singer-songwriter. Born Carly Cristyne Slusser, Pearce began singing in church and tent revival concerts at a young age. At age 11, she began performing with bluegrass bands across the state. At 16, she convinced her parents to let her leave high school and move to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, to perform at Dollywood, pursuing her musical ambitions full-time.

After relocating to Nashville, Pearce gained attention with her feature on the Josh Abbott Band’s “Wasn’t That Drunk” in 2016. The following year, her solo single “Every Little Thing,” the titular track from her debut album, charted for 36 weeks on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, eventually hitting No. 1.

Pearce’s notable works include her debut album Every Little Thing (2017), featuring the gold-certified title track, and her self-titled sophomore album Carly Pearce (2020). In 2021, she released 29: Written in Stone, which includes the Grammy-winning duet “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” with Ashley McBryde. She has toured with artists like Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett, and in 2021, she became a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

In 2024, she released her fourth studio album Hummingbird.

In October 2019, Pearce married country singer Michael Ray. The couple announced their divorce in June 2020. She moved on with former baseball player Riley King the following year, and the pair split in 2023. She confirmed she dated her drummer, B.C. Taylor, later that year.
