
Benjamin Bratt
Benjamin Bratt is an actor best known for his work in television dramas and major studio films. Born in San Francisco, California, he attended Lowell High School before enrolling at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He later transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in theater.
Bratt began his career with small roles in television and film in the early 1990s. His breakout came in 1995 when he joined Law & Order as Detective Rey Curtis, a role he played for four seasons.
He went on to star in movies including Miss Congeniality (2000), Traffic (2000), Piñero (2001) and The Infiltrator (2016). On television, he appeared on Private Practice, Modern Family and Star. He also voiced Ernesto de la Cruz in Disney and Pixar’s Coco, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2018. In 2025, he joined the cast of Andor as Bail Organa.
Benjamin married actress Talisa Soto in 2002. The couple share two children, Sophia (born in 2002) and Mateo (born in 2005).
