Brett Gardner is a former professional baseball player who spent his entire MLB career with the New York Yankees until his retirement in 2021.

After playing baseball for the College of Charleston in South Carolina, Gardner was drafted by the Yankees as an outfielder in 2005. He helped the team win the World Series in 2009, one year after making his MLB debut. Gardner was named an American League All-Star in 2015 and won a Golden Glove Award in 2016.

Gardner retired from the Yankees after 14 seasons in 2021.

Gardner married wife Jessica Clendenin in 2007, going on to welcome sons Hunter and Miller. Miller died in March 2025 at the age of 14 following a sudden illness.
