Crystal Hefner

Although her parents are from England, Playboy model Crystal Hefner (née Harris) was born an American citizen in Lake Havasu, Arizona. She grew up in San Diego.

Crystal made her television debut in 2009 on E!’s The Girls Next Door. She became a Playboy Playmate and appeared in the December issue that same year.

Crystal got engaged to Hugh Hefner on Christmas Eve 2010. In June 2011, she released her debut single, a club anthem titled “Club Queen,” just one week before she and Hugh were set to tie the knot. Two days after the song’s release and five days before the wedding, Crystal abruptly ended her relationship with the magazine mogul.

The pair reconciled and married on December 31, 2012 at the Playboy mansion. Hugh died in September 2017 at age 91. Following his death, Crystal relocated to Hawaii.

In January 2024, Crystal released her memoir, Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself.

Crystal and James Ward got engaged in April 2025. She exclusively confirmed the news to Us Weekly, revealing that the marine biologist proposed after one year of dating.
