
David Blaine
David Blaine is an illusionist, endurance artist and magician. Blaine developed an early interest in close-up magic after seeing a street performer at age 4. At age 17, he moved to New York City, where he briefly studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse before pursuing magic full time.
Blaine gained national attention in 1997 with the television special Street Magic, which focused on real-time reactions from unsuspecting pedestrians. Over the next several years, he performed a multitude of high-profile endurance stunts and starred on TV specials such as David Blaine: Frozen in Time (2000) and David Blaine: Dive of Death (2008).
The magician held his Real or Magic tour in 2014, where he performed to audiences across North America, Europe and the Middle East. His mainstream success as an entertainer allowed him to make appearances on shows such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Blaine announced his Las Vegas residency David Blaine Live in 2022, where he performed three shows a month at the Resorts World hotel. The following year, he announced his Impossible residency, where he held performances at The Encore Theatre.
In 2025, Hulu premiered his special David Blaine: Do Not Attempt, in which he travels around the world to perform endurance stunts.
Blaine was previously engaged to model Alizée Guinochet. The pair welcomed daughter Dessa in 2011 before their split in 2014. He has been previously linked to Josie Maran, Lonneke Engle and Fiona Apple.
