Dennis Quaid

Dennis Quaid is a Golden Globe-nominated actor. Quaid grew up with a passion for acting and studied drama at the University of Houston before dropping out to pursue a career in Hollywood. His older brother, Randy Quaid, was already an established actor, which helped introduce him to the industry.

Dennis gained attention in the mainstream with his breakout role as Gordon Cooper in the Oscar-nominated film The Right Stuff (1983). He later landed starring roles in movies such as The Big Easy (1986), Great Balls of Fire! (1989) and The Parent Trap (1998). His performance in 2002’s Far from Heaven earned him widespread critical praise and his first Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role.

The actor has also appeared on television, playing roles on shows such as Vegas, The Art of More and Fortitude.

In 2024, he starred as the title character in the docudrama Raegan. He later joined the Paramount+ series Happy Face, premiering in 2025, as Keith Hunter Jesperson.

Dennis has been married four times. He was wed to P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983 before marrying Meg Ryan in 1991. The actors share son Jack Quaid (born in 1992) and split in 2001. He later married Kimberly Buffington in 2004, with whom he welcomed twins Thomas and Zoe in 2007. The exes finalized their divorce in 2018. In 2020, he tied the knot with Laura Savoie.
