Eugene Levy is a Canadian actor, comedian, and producer born on December 17, 1946 in Hamilton, Canada. Levy is Best known for his roles in the hit TV shows Schitt’s Creek. Levy has also had a successful film career, starring in hits like American Pie and Cheaper by the Dozen.

Levy is known for his dry wit and deadpan delivery, which he honed during his early years on the sketch comedy series Second City Television. He came to fame for his role in the movie series American Pie. He later went on to appear in a string of successful comedies throughout the 1980s to the 2000s, including Bringing Down the House, Father of the Bride, Dumb and Dumber, Madea’s Witness Protection.

Recently, Levy has turned to television to showcase his comedic talents, starring in the critically-e acclaimed series Schitt’s Creek that he created with his son Dan Levy. He has also been honored with numerous awards for his work, including three Emmy nominations and a range of Canadian Comedy Awards.

Levy is married to actress and writer Deborah Divine, and the couple has two children together, Dan and Sarah Levy who also starred in the show Schitt’s Creek.

He cohosted the 2024 Emmys with his son, Dan Levy, making them the first father-son duo to emcee the show.
