Grimes

Grimes (real name Claire Boucher) is a singer-songwriter hailing from Vancouver, Canada. She released her first album under the stage name Grimes in 2010 titled Geidi Primes. The same year she dropped Halfaxa.

The “Oblivion” singer released her latest album, Miss Anthropocene, in 2020, and has created the album art for all of her records to date. Her illustrations are also featured on her merchandise, tour posters and some have been featured in gallery shows throughout the world, including the Audio Visual Arts Gallery in New York City.

Grimes, who considers herself a visual artist, was first linked to Tesla CEO Elon Musk in May 2018. After weathering split rumors throughout their relationship, the “Genesis” singer announced she was pregnant in January 2020. It wasn’t until two months later that Grimes confirmed Musk was the father.

The “Delete Forever” artist welcomed her first child with Musk in May 2020, a son named X Æ A-12. A few weeks later, the couple changed their baby’s name to X Æ A-Xii to comply with California state laws.

The same month, a source told Us Weekly that the pair have experienced a “lot of ups and downs in their relationship” but through it all “they have and will continue to maintain a close friendship.”

Grimes and Musk, who split for good in 2022, later welcomed daughter Exa Dark Sideræl and son Techno Mechanicus in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
