Ilana Glazer is a comedian, writer and producer known for her role in the Comedy Central series Broad City. She began her comedy career during college at New York University, where she started taking classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater in 2006. She honed her skills in improv and standup, performing in small clubs around New York City.

In 2009, Glazer cocreated the web series Broad City with Abbi Jacobson, portraying exaggerated versions of their real-life selves. The series gained a significant following, leading to its adaptation into a television show on Comedy Central in 2014. Broad City received critical acclaim and ran for five successful seasons through 2019.

Beyond Broad City, Glazer has showcased her talents through various projects, including stand-up comedy, acting roles in films like Rough Night (2017) and voice work in animated series. She also cowrote and starred in the film Babes (2024), which delves into the comedic light of motherhood and friendships. She has released to standup specials, Ilana Glazer: The Planet Is Burning (2020) and Ilana Glazer: Human Magic (2024).

In February 2017, Glazer married scientist David Rooklin, whom she met in 2012. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in July 2021.

In August 2024, Glazer publicly shared that her pregnancy journey led to the realization that she identifies as non-binary, using she/they pronouns.
