
Jason Mraz
Singer-songwriter Jason Mraz was born on June 23, 1977 in Mechanicsville, Va.
His debut album showed influences from reggae, pop, rock, folk, jazz and hip-hop, and included the popular single “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry).” His second album, Mr. A-Z, was his first commercial success, selling over 100,000 copies. Mraz gained international recognition when the 2008 single “I’m Yours” from the album We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. was released. The song stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 76 weeks.
Mraz has been romantically linked to Colbie Caillat, and in 2009 they recorded Caillat’s radio hit “Lucky” together, which also made Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. In June 2011, Mraz announced he had ended his six-month engagement to singer Tristan Prettyman.
