Jeremy Piven

Jeremy Piven is an actor best known for playing fast-talking Hollywood agent Ari Gold on HBO’s Entourage. Piven was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois, to actors Byrne and Joyce Piven. He trained in theater from a young age and attended Drake University before transferring to New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He also studied at the Piven Theatre Workshop, founded by his parents.

Piven began his acting career in the late 1980s with appearances in television and film. He gained early recognition with roles in The Larry Sanders Show and Ellen. His breakout came in 2004 with Entourage, a role that earned him three consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and a Golden Globe.

Beyond Entourage, Piven starred in the British period drama Mr. Selfridge from 2013 to 2016. His film credits include Serendipity (2001), Old School (2003), Smokin’ Aces (2006) and The Kingdom (2007). In 2022, he released a stand-up comedy special and has continued touring as a comedian.

Piven has previously been romantically linked to celebrities such as January Jones and Kelly Brook, though most relationships were short-term.
