About

Ken Jeong is an actor, comedian and licensed physician best known for his roles on Dr. Ken, Community and as a judge on The Masked Singer. Jeong was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. He attended Duke University for his undergraduate degree and earned his M.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his residency in internal medicine in New Orleans while performing stand-up comedy on the side.

Jeong began his entertainment career performing at comedy clubs before landing small roles on television. His breakout came in 2007 with a scene-stealing role as Dr. Kuni in Knocked Up. In 2009, he gained national recognition playing Mr. Chow in The Hangover, which led to reprising the character in two sequels. That same year, he was cast as Ben Chang on NBC’s Community, which ran for six seasons.

Jeong went on to star in films like Role Models (2008), Ride Along 2 (2016), Crazy Rich Asians (2018) and My Spy (2020). In 2015, he created and starred in the ABC sitcom Dr. Ken, which was loosely based on his life as a physician-turned-actor. He has served as a panelist on The Masked Singer since its U.S. debut in 2019 and hosted the Fox game show I Can See Your Voice. He has also lent his voice to projects like Bob’s Burgers, The Loud House and Kpop Demon Hunters (2025).

Jeong married physician Tran Ho in 2004. The couple share twin daughters Zooey and Alexa (born in 2007).
