Olivier Martinez

Olivier Martinez is an actor known for his roles in Unfaithful, S.W.A.T and Dark Tide. Born in Paris, he grew up initially following in his father’s footsteps by pursuing a career in boxing. However, he later shifted to acting while studying at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique in Paris.

After completing his studies, Martinez gained early recognition in French cinema. His early career roles included Un, Deux, Trois, Soleil (1993). He went on to star in other French films like The Horseman on the Roof (1995) and The Chambermaid on the Titanic (1997). He later began to gain international recognition in Hollywood films such as Before Night Falls (2000), Unfaithful (2002), S.W.A.T (2003) and Dark Tide (2012), alongside Halle Berry.

Martinez has also appeared in TV series Texas Rising (2015), Mars (2016) and Loot (2022).

Martinez dated singer Kylie Minogue from 2003 to 2007. He later began dating actress Halle Berry after meeting on the set of Dark Tide. The couple married in 2013 and welcomed their son Maceo-Robert the same year. They later divorced in 2016 originally agreeing to joint custody, until Berry filed for sole custody in 2024.
