Parvati Shallow

Parvati Shallow was born in Florida before moving to Georgia at the age of 11. Shallow graduated high school in Georgia and attended the University of Georgia, graduating in 2004 with a BA in journalism.

The reality TV star was cast in the CBS competition series Survivor in 2006 as a member of the Survivor: Cook Islands cast. Shallow has since made an appearance in four seasons of the show. She was a fan favorite throughout her time on the show, eventually winning Survivor: Micronesia-Fans vs. Favorites.

Shallow has taken her competitive skills to several different reality shows over the years, including The Traitors season 2 in 2024 and Deal or No Deal Island in 2025.

In 2009, she made an appearance in the movie Into the Blue 2. Shallow is also a writer, and her memoir Nice Girls Don’t Win: How I Burned It All Down to Claim My Power is set to drop in July 2025.

Shallow married fellow Survivor participant John Fincher in 2017, and she gave birth to their daughter, Ama, in 2018. The couple divorced in 2021. In 2023, Shallow announced that she identifies as queer and confirmed her relationship with Canadian comedian Mae Martin.
