About

Robyn (born Robin Miriam Carlsson) is a Swedish singer, songwriter and producer known for pop hits like “Show Me Love” and her influential album Body Talk. Robyn was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and raised in a musical family, with both of her parents working as actors. She attended music school in Stockholm and trained in singing and performance from a young age, recording demo songs as a teenager before being discovered by a local label.

Robyn launched her music career in the mid-1990s with her self-titled debut album, which included the hit singles “Show Me Love” and “Do You Know (What It Takes).” The songs found success internationally and established her as a rising pop star. After parting ways with her initial record label, she reinvented her sound and career in the 2000s. She later gained critical and commercial success with her independent releases, including Robyn (2005), which earned a Grammy nomination for best electronic/dance album. Some of her later releases include Body Talk (2005), Honey (2010) and Sexistential (2026).

In addition to her solo work, Robyn has collaborated with artists including Röyksopp and Snoop Dogg, and she is widely credited with influencing modern pop through her blend of electronic and emotional songwriting.

The singer was in a long-term relationship with artist and videographer Max Vitali throughout the 2010s, but the pair eventually split. In 2023, she welcomed son Tyko through IVF treatment.
