Stephen Colletti

Stephen Colletti was born on February 13, 1986, in California and hit it big when MTV approached him in 2004 for a role on the new reality show, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.

In high school and in front of millions of viewers, Colletti dated Kristin Cavallari, who also starred on Laguna Beach. His teenage love triangle with castmate and costar Lauren Conrad was also a major story line on season 1 of the MTV shows. In summer 2006, Colletti had a fleeting romance with Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere. Colletti confirmed his romance with NASCAR reporter Alex Weaver in August 2022. The couple tied the knot in October 2025.

After Laguna Beach, Colletti attended San Francisco State University before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. He starred on The CW’s One Tree Hill from 2007 to 2012 as Chase Adams before appearing in several movies.

Colletti cocreated Hulu’s Everyone Is Doing Great in 2021 alongside former OTH costar James Lafferty. Both Colletti and Lafferty also starred on the comedy from 2021 to 2023. Outside of acting, Colletti cohosted the “Laguna Beach: Back to the Beach” podcast with Cavallari in 2022.
