Tom Bergeron is a broadcast personality and reality TV show host. In 1972, Bergeron got his start in radio, running comedy and music segments local to his hometown of Haverhill, Massachusetts. From high school onwards, he took on numerous broadcasting positions which well positioned him for his transition to mainstream television later on.

Bergeron’s first big gig came when he was asked to host the FX morning show Breakfast Time in 1994. He remained on the show during its transition to Fox After Breakfast, and just a few years later began hosting the game show Hollywood Squares, marking his primetime arrival. The nation came to know and love him through his longtime role as a producer and host of America’s Funniest Home Videos. During his nine-year stint with the program, he also began hosting Dancing With the Stars, where he remained until 2015. In 2020, he competed on The Masked Singer as Taco.

Bergeron has received a multitude of nominations for his work as a reality TV show host, and in 2012 was awarded the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program.

He married Lois Bergeron in 1982, and the couple share two daughters, Jessica (born in 1988) and Samantha (born in 1990).
