Tom Welling

Tom Welling was a construction worker before he was discovered by a casting director for a 1998 Tommy Hilfiger campaign. Welling later relocated from New York to Los Angeles to pursue modeling.

He pivoted to acting in the early 2000s, making his TV debut on Judging Amy in 2001. That same year, he began playing Clark Kent on The CW’s Smallville. The role solidified Welling as a household name, running for 10 seasons. Once it ended in 2017, Welling starred on Lucifer, Professionals and The Winchesters.

Welling appeared in his first big movie in 2001, playing the eldest child, Charlie Barker, in Cheaper by the Dozen. He later reprised the role in Cheaper by the Dozen 2. He has since starred in Draft Day, The Choice and Mafia Wars.

Welling is also a director — having worked on seven episodes of Smallville — and producer, with credits on Smallville, Hellcats and Professionals.

The actor was married to model Jamie White for 10 years before they divorced in 2013. He moved on with equestrian Jessica Rose Lee, whom he wed in November 2019. The couple share two sons: Thomson and Rocklin.
