
Criss Angel
Criss Angel (born Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos) is an illusionist and magician best known for his TV series Criss Angel Mindfreak and large-scale live performances in Las Vegas. Angel became interested in magic at a young age and began performing professionally in his teens. He attended East Meadow High School and decided to pursue magic full-time after graduating.
Angel spent years performing in small venues and on the road before gaining national attention with his off-Broadway show Criss Angel Mindfreak in 2001. He rose to fame in 2005 after the show was picked up by A&E; it featured street magic, stunts and illusions. The series ran for six seasons and helped make him a household name.
He has headlined several Las Vegas productions, including Criss Angel Believe and Criss Angel MINDFREAK at Planet Hollywood. Over his career, he has won multiple Magician of the Year titles from the International Magicians Society and has been recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Angel has been in a few high-profile relationships, including with Britney Spears and Holly Madison. He married singer Shaunyl Benson in 2015, and the duo welcomed children Johnny (born in 2014), Xristos (born in 2019) and Illusia (born in 2021).
