
Damon Wayans Jr.
Damon Wayans Jr. is an actor and comedian best known for his roles in sitcoms like Happy Endings and New Girl. He grew up in a family steeped in comedy and showbiz, with his father, Damon Wayans, and uncles (including Keenen Ivory Wayans and Marlon Wayans) all having successful careers in the entertainment industry.
Damon began his career in comedy early, making his acting debut on his father’s sitcom My Wife and Kids in 2001. After attending college at the University of Arizona, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in comedy and acting, scoring his breakout role as Brad Williams on the ABC sitcom Happy Endings in 2011.
Wayans Jr. went on to star on New Girl as Coach but was quickly written out after Happy Endings was picked up. After ABC canceled the sitcom, he was able to return to New Girl, starring in more than 40 episodes of the Fox hit.
The actor has appeared in films such as Let’s Be Cops (2014), How to Be Single (2016), Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar (2021) and Kinda Pregnant (2025).
Outside of work, Wayans Jr. shares two daughters with high school ex-girlfriend Aja Metoyer and four children with wife Samara Saraiva, whom he married in 2016.
