About

Diem Brown (born Danielle Michelle “Diem” Brown) was a reality TV star and entertainment reporter best known for competing on MTV’s The Challenge. Brown was born in Germany and moved frequently as a child due to her father’s military career, eventually settling in Roswell, Georgia. She went on to graduate from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications.

Brown made her reality TV debut in 2006 on The Challenge: Fresh Meat, quickly becoming a fan favorite for her athleticism and candidness. She went on to appear in seven seasons of the show until 2015. Offscreen, she built a career as a correspondent for various media outlets, including Entertainment Tonight, and founded the website MedGift, a support registry for patients going through illness.

She was widely recognized for her public battle with ovarian cancer, which she was first diagnosed with in 2005. Her final appearance on The Challenge aired posthumously following her death in November 2014.
She had an on-and-off relationship with The Challenge co-star Chris “CT” Tamburello, whom she dated for several years.

Brown died on November 14, 2014, after a years-long battle with ovarian cancer.
