Janelle Brown stars alongside Kody Brown on TLC’s Sister Wives. The show chronicles their lives as polygamists, following the pair as well as Kody’s three other wives, Meri, Robyn and Christine.

The reality star, who was not raised a polygamist, was introduced to Kody by Meri, his first wife. He married her in 1990 — a year after they met — and wed Janelle “spiritually” in 1993.

Together, Janelle and Kody have six kids: Logan, Hunter, Robert, Gabriel, Maddie and Savannah. They are also grandparents. Daughter Maddie and her husband, Caleb Brush, have two children of their own: son Axel and daughter Evangalynn.

Janelle confirmed in December 2022 that she and Kody had been “separated for several months” as they approached their 30th wedding anniversary.
