Joanna Krupa

Joanna Krupa is a Polish American model, television personality and animal rights activist who gained major recognition for her work in reality TV and modeling. Born in Warsaw, Poland, Krupa emigrated with her family to a suburb of Chicago at age 5. She attended Glenbard East High School and began modeling as a teenager.

Krupa’s early career began when she moved to Los Angeles around age 20 to pursue modeling and acting. Her breakthrough came after she appeared on the cover of Maxim, which later landed her in publications including Ocean Drive, FHM and Playboy.

In 2009, she competed on the ninth season of Dancing With the Stars alongside professional dancer Derek Hough. The following year, she became host and lead judge of the Polish version of Top Model. She was also a member of the cast of The Real Housewives of Miami from 2012 to 2013.

Aside from modeling and television, Krupa has been involved in animal welfare, working with PETA and cofounding her own rescue organization. She has also made onscreen appearances in films such as Max Havoc: Curse of the Dragon (2004), Planet of the Apes (2001) and InAPPropriate Comedy (2013).

Krupa was married to nightclub owner Romain Zago from 2013 to 2017. She married businessman Douglas Nunes in 2018, and they welcomed daughter Asha-Leigh in 2019.
