Josh Gad is an actor, comedian and singer known for his voice acting as Olaf in the Frozen franchise and as Doug in The Wedding Ringer. He began his acting journey with his film debut in Mary and Joe (2002). He made his television debut in 2005 with a guest appearance on the NBC medical drama ER. That same year, he showcased his theatrical talents by replacing Dan Fogler as William Barfée in the Broadway production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. He later starred as news director Ryan Church in the Fox sitcom Back to You (2007-2008).

Gad received widespread recognition for originating the role of Elder Arnold Cunningham in the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon (2011-2012), earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. He further solidified his status in film by voicing Olaf in Disney’s 2013 hit Frozen, a role that garnered him two Annie Awards for Outstanding Voice Acting.

Throughout his career, Gad has received several accolades including, one Grammy Award and two Annie Awards.

Gad has been married to actress Ida Darvish since May 2008. The couple have two daughters, Ava (born December 2010) and Isabella (born February 2014).
