
Julia Stiles
Julia Stiles began acting at 11 years old in New York’s La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club. Her film debut was in 1996’s I Love You, I Love You Not. Her first leading role was in 1998’s thriller Wicked, directed by Michael Steinberg.
However, Stiles’ breakout performance was in the 1999 rom-com 10 Things I Hate About You, opposite the late Heath Ledger. Her additional credits include Mona Lisa Smile, Hamlet, Silver Linings Playbook, Out of the Dark, the Bourne Identity franchise, Hustlers and Orphan: First Kill.
In 2025, Stiles will make her directorial debut in the romantic drama Wish You Were Here, which is based on the bestselling book by Renee Carlino. Stiles also serves as a cowriter.
Stiles began dating camera assistant Preston Cook in 2014 after meeting on the set of the film Blackway. The couple got married in 2017 and share three kids together, born in 2017, 2022 and 2023.
