Kenny Chesney
Kenny Chesney was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. After graduating from East Tennessee State University in 1990, he moved to Nashville and started singing at several local clubs. He signed to BMI records two years later and released his debut album, In My Wildest Dreams, in 1994.
Chesney has released 20 albums between 1994 and 2024 with 27 singles that peaked within the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. During that time, the country singer won 12 Country Music Association Awards, 11 Academy of Country Music Awards and was nominated for six Grammy Awards.
After decades in the industry, Chesney created the “No Shoes Nation” fan club inspired by his song, “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem.” It is also the name of his SiriusXM radio station.
Chesney married Renée Zellweger in May 2005 after meeting four months prior. Their marriage was annulled in September of that year. The singer has since remained more private about his love life. He was last romantically linked to Mary Nolan in 2012.
