
Lark Voorhies
Lark Voorhies is an actress best known for playing Lisa Turtle on the hit teen sitcom Saved by the Bell. Voorhies was raised in Pasadena, California, where she began acting at a young age and appeared in various commercials. She attended high school in the Los Angeles area and chose to focus on her acting career after graduating.
Voorhies made her television debut with a guest appearance on Small Wonder in 1988. She landed her breakout role later that year as Lisa Turtle on Good Morning, Miss Bliss, which evolved into Saved by the Bell in 1989. The show ran until 1993 and earned her three Young Artist Award nominations. She reprised the role in Saved by the Bell: The College Years and in several TV movies.
Outside of the Saved by the Bell franchise, Voorhies has landed recurring roles on shows like Days of Our Lives, The Bold and the Beautiful and In the House. She also starred in films including How to Be a Player (1997) and How High (2001) and made appearances in music videos for artists like Boyz II Men and Kenny Lattimore. She returned for the Saved by the Bell reboot in 2021.
Voorhies was romantically involved with Saved by the Bell costar Mark-Paul Gosselaar in the early ‘90s. She later got engaged to actor Martin Lawrrence in 1993, but the engagement was called off the following year. She married music engineer Jimmy Green in 2015. The twosome divorced in 2016.
