Rachel Maddow received a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Stanford University before attending Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship and earning a doctorate in political science.
She became an MSNBC political analyst in 2008, debuting The Rachel Maddow Show later that year. Maddow has since received six Emmy Award nominations and won three times, including for Outstanding News Discussion and Analysis in 2011 and 2017 as well as Outstanding Live Interview in 2017.
Maddow met her partner, Susan Mikula, in 1999 and the pair reside in both New York City and Massachusetts.
