Tiffany Haddish

Tiffany Haddish is a comedian and actress known for her breakout role in Girls Trip and her television, film and stand-up comedy work. Haddish grew up in South Central Los Angeles as the oldest of five siblings. After her mother suffered severe brain damage in a 1988 car accident, Haddish and her siblings entered foster care when she was 13. She later reunited with her siblings and was raised by her grandmother. She attended El Camino Real High School but did not attend college. A social worker encouraged her to attend the Laugh Factory Comedy Camp as an alternative to psychiatric therapy, which her comedy career.

Haddish began performing stand-up as a teenager and landed early television roles in various shows, including That’s So Raven, making her film debut in The Urban Demographic in 2005. She gained wider attention playing Nekeisha Williams on The Carmichael Show before her breakout performance as Dina in Girls Trip in 2017. She went on to star in films including Night School (2018), Like a Boss (2020), Bad Trip (2021) and Haunted Mansion (2023).

Haddish won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2018 for hosting Saturday Night Live and a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album in 2021 for Black Mitzvah, making her the second African American woman in history to win the latter.

The actress married William Stewart in 2008 and filed for divorce in 2011, with the divorce finalized in 2013. She later dated rapper Common from 2020 to 2021.
