Tim Daly
Tim Daly followed in his parents’ actor James Daly and actress Mary Hope Daly’s footsteps with his career choice. (One of his sisters, Tyne Daly, is also an actress.)
Tim made his stage debut when he was 7 years old. Three years later, he appeared on TV as part of the American Playhouse adaptation of An Enemy of the People. His professional career took off in the 1980s and in 1990 he landed one of his most iconic TV roles to date, playing Joe Montgomery Hackett on Wings. During that time frame, Tim also voiced Superman in several TV movies and video games.
Tim later starred on Eyes and The Nine before playing Dr. Pete Wilder on Private Practice from 2007 to 2012. He then portrayed Henry McCord on Madam Secretary, which ended in 2019. The TV star is also a producer and director.
Tim was married to Amy Van Nostrand from 1982 to 2010. The exes share two children: son Sam and daughter Emelyn. Us Weekly confirmed in December 2014 that Tim was dating his Madam Secretary costar Téa Leoni. Tim married Leoni in July 2025.
