Before becoming a Marvel staple, Holland began his acting career on stage in Billy Elliot the Musical in the West End theatre, starring in the production from 2008 to 2010. In 2012, he won his first big award, taking home the London Film Critics Circle Award for Young British Performer of the Year for his work in 2012’s The Impossible.

In 2016, Holland made his debut as Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War. He went on to appear in multiple MCU films, including Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Outside of Marvel, he has starred in Uncharted, Chaos Walking and Cherry as well as the miniseries The Crowded Room.

Following years of dating rumors, Holland was seen kissing his Spider-Man costar Zendaya in July 2021. They got engaged in late 2024 with Zendaya debuting her diamond engagement ring at the Golden Globes.
