
Bo Derek
Bo Derek (born Mary Cathleen Collins) is a Golden Globe-nominated actress and model. Derek was raised in California, where she attended Narbonne High School. She later left school at age 16 to pursue acting full time.
Derek began her career with small roles before being cast in Fantasies, directed by John Derek, whom she would later marry. Her rise to fame came with 10 (1979), in which her performance earned her the Golden Globe nomination for New Star of the Year – Actress. She went on to land roles in films such as Bolero (1984), Ghosts Can’t Do It (1989) and Tommy Boy (1995).
In addition to her film work, Derek played the recurring role of Maria Gianni on the show Fashion House, which ran for one season in 2006. She has also appeared on shows like CSI: Miami and 7th Heaven.
In 2002, she published the autobiography Riding Lessons: Everything That Matters in Life I Learned From Horses.
The actress married actor and director John Derek in 1976 and remained with him until his death in 1998. In 2002, she began dating actor John Corbett. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2020.
