Jude Law

Jude Law dropped out of school at 17 to pursue acting, securing various theater roles until he eventually landed on the West End and Broadway. He balanced his theater career with various film and TV roles, but it was 1999’s The Talented Mr. Ripley that skyrocketed him to fame, earning him a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and an Oscar nomination in the same category. He scored an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role just a few years later for his role in 2003’s Cold Mountain.

While he is known for dramas like Closer (2004) and Road to Perdition (2002), he has also appeared in various romantic comedies, including The Holiday (2006) and Alfie (2004).

Law has managed to leave his mark on many blockbuster franchises as well, starring as Watson opposite Robert Downey Jr. in the Sherlock Holmes films; stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2019’s Captain Marvel; playing a young Albus Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts movies and landing in a galaxy far, far away in the 2024 miniseries Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.

Law has three children with Sadie Frost, whom he married in 1997. They divorced in 2003.

He was engaged to Sienna Miller in 2004 and issued a public apology to her after his highly publicized affair with his children’s nanny the following year. The duo split in November 2006.

Law welcomed his fourth child with model Samantha Burke in 2009. He welcomed his fifth child with singer Catherine Harding in 2015.

The actor shares his sixth and seventh children with wife Phillipa Coan, whom he married in May 2019. The actor and psychologist welcomed their first child together in 2020 and their second in 2023.
