Melissa Fumero

Melissa Fumero is an actress known for her role as Detective Amy Santiago in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama in 2003, which set the stage for her successful acting career.

Fumero’s big break came when she landed the role of Adriana Cramer on the soap opera One Life to Live in 2004. Her portrayal of Adriana earned her recognition and led to other television appearances in series such as Gossip Girl, The Mentalist and Based on a True Story. However, it was her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine from 2013 to 2021 that made her a household name. It was with the hit TV series that she also had her directorial debut in 2019 for the episode “Return of the King.”

In addition to her work on television, Fumero has appeared in films like Tiny Dancer and DriverX, and she has explored voice acting in animated series such as She-Ra and the Princess of Power.

Fumero married actor and co star from One Life to Live David Fumero in December 2007. Together, they share two sons: Enzo (born in 2016) and Axel (born in 2020).
