
Michael C. Hall
Best known for his roles on Dexter and Six Feet Under, this North Carolina native graduated from New York University’s Master of Fine Arts program, persuing a degree in acting. After performing in a series of plays, Michael C. Hall landed his first role on Broadway in Cabaret.
In 2002, he began work on HBO’s Six Feet Under, for which he earned an Emmy nomination. That same year, he married actress Amy Spanger (though the two later divorced in 2007).
In 2006, Hall landed the role of Miami police officer, Dexter Morgan, who moonlights as a serial killer on Showtime’s Dexter. On New Year’s Eve of 2008, he eloped with his Dexter costar, actress Jennifer Carpenter.
In January of 2010, Hall announced he was successfully being treated for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The same year, Hall also won his first Golden Globe for his role on Dexter. Hall and Carpenter announced they were divorcing in December.
