Tatum O'Neal
Tatum O’Neal is an Oscar-winning actress and daughter of actors Ryan O’Neal and Joanne Moore. Raised in Los Angeles, Tatum began acting at a young age. In 1973, she made history as the youngest person to ever win an Academy Award when she won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Paper Moons, in which she appeared alongside her father.
Tatum continued to star in highly acclaimed films, including The Bad News Bears (1976) and Little Darlings (1980). She began to land minor TV roles, appearing on shows such as Faerie Tale Theatre and landed a role in the TV movie Little Noises (1991).
Her acting roles grew scarce in the late ‘90s and early 2000s as she struggled with a drug addiction, but did appear on shows such as Sex and the City and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. In 2006, she signed on to the show Wicked Wicked Games as Blythe Hunter, but exited the show the following year. Some of her notable later works include This is 40 (2012), Sweet Lorraine (2015) and Troubled Waters (2020).
Tatum was married to tennis player John McEnroe from 1986 to 1994. They share three children: Kevin, Sean and Emily. Following their split, the actress’ drug problem resurfaced, and McEnroe was granted full custody of their children.
The actress suffered a stroke after a drug overdose in 2020, which left her in a six-week coma. She has since been in rehabilitation to regain her speech.
In 2015, Tatum announced that she began dating women but declined to label her sexuality.
