Emily VanCamp

Emily VanCamp is a Canadian actress best known for her roles in Everwood, Revenge and The Resident. Born in Ontario, VanCamp trained as a dancer from a young age, studying ballet, jazz and hip-hop. She later attended the École supérieure de ballet du Québec. Her dance training eventually led her to acting after she visited her sister on the set of a film.

VanCamp began her acting career in the early 2000s with guest appearances on Are You Afraid of the Dark? and Radio Active. She gained recognition in 2002 when she was cast as Amy Abbott on the WB drama Everwood, a role she held until 2006. She later joined the cast of Brothers & Sisters before landing her breakout lead role as Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke on ABC’s Revenge from 2011 to 2015.

Following Revenge, VanCamp starred as nurse practitioner Nic Nevin on the Fox medical drama The Resident from 2018 to 2021. She has also appeared in films including The Ring Two (2005) and Norman (2010) and portrayed Agent 13 in Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016) and the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

VanCamp began dating her Revenge costar Josh Bowman in 2011. The couple married in 2018 and welcomed daughters in 2021 and 2024.
