About

Jeff Bridges is a legendary actor who grew up in a Hollywood family. His father, Lloyd Bridges, was a renowned actor, and his mother, Dorothy Dean Bridges, was an actress and poet. Jeff appeared in projects alongside his brother Beau Bridges, such as the film The Company She Keeps (1951) and the TV series Sea Hunt (1958 to 1961), during his childhood. As a teenager, he received critical acclaim for his role in The Last Picture Show (1971), which earned him his first Oscar nomination.

Throughout the 1970s and the 1980s, Jeff continued to take on more critically acclaimed roles in films such as Fat City (1972), Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974) and Starman (1984), which earned him another Oscar nomination. He later starred in fan-favorite films like Tron (1982) and The Big Lebowski (1998), which became a cult classic. His career reached new heights with Crazy Heart (2009), where he portrayed a washed-up country singer, earning him an Oscar for Best Actor.

In October 2020, Bridges revealed he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy. He confirmed his cancer was in remission one year later.

Bridges has been married to Susan Geston since 1977. They share three daughters: Isabelle (born in 1981), Jessica Lily (born in 1983) and Hayley Roselouise (born in 1985).
