Jenny McCarthy

Jenny McCarthy is an actress, model and television host known for her time on The Jenny McCarthy Show and Singled Out and as a judge on The Masked Singer. McCarthy was raised in Chicago and enrolled at Southern Illinois University to study nursing and psychology but left to pursue modeling.

McCarthy got her big break in 1993 when she was named Playboy’s Playmate of the Year. She made the transition to TV in 1995 when she began co-hosting MTV’s Singled Out alongside Chris Hardwick. She later starred in her own sketch comedy series titled The Jenny McCarthy Show and had acting roles in films like BASEketball (1998), Scream 3 (2000) and Scary Movie 3 (2003).

McCarthy became a mainstay on talk shows and reality TV, cohosting series such as Party at the Palms and The View, as well as Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. In 2019, she joined the Fox series The Masked Singer as a panelist. The actress has also made frequent appearances on shows like Entertainment Tonight and Good Morning America.

McCarthy married director John Asher in 1999. They welcomed their son, Evan, in 2002 before parting ways in 2005. She moved on with actor Jim Carrey later that year, but the pair split in 2010. In 2013, she began dating New Kids on the Block member Donnie Wahlberg, and the twosome tied the knot the following year.
