Nicole Scherzinger

Best known as the lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, Nicole Scherzinger (given name: Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente) was born on June 29, 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

In 2001, Scherzinger competed on the reality TV show Popstars, earning a spot in all-girl pop group, Eden’s Crush. When the group disbanded shortly thereafter, Scherzinger joined the Pussycat Dolls, and enjoyed the success of a string of hits including “Don’t Cha,” “When I Grow Up” and “Buttons.” The band’s hit “Jai Ho” appeared on the soundtrack to the 2008 Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire.

Releasing a solo album, Her Name Is Nicole, in 2007, Scherzinger served as a celebrity judge on NBC’s The Sing-Off. She appeared on, and won, the tenth season of Dancing with the Stars with partner Derek Hough.

Scherzinger made her Broadway debut in Jamie Lloyd‘s revival of Sunset Blvd. in 2025, after originating the part in London’s West End the year prior. She took home the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in June 2025.

Once engaged to 311 singer Nick Hexum, Scherzinger also dated Formula One race car driver Lewis Hamilton. She began dating rugby player Thom Evans in 2020, and the couple confirmed their engagement in June of 2023.
