Salma Hayek
After several successful roles in Mexican telenovelas, Salma Hayek moved to Los Angeles in 1991 to pursue a career in Hollywood. She rose to prominence with roles in films Desperado (1995), Fools Rush In (1997) and Dogma (1999). The actress also began producing in 1999, launching her production company, Ventanarosa.
Hayek produced and starred in 2002’s Frida, earning critical acclaim for her portrayal of Frida Kahlo. She went on to star in dozens of successful films, including Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (2003), Grown Ups (2010), Puss in Boots (2011), Eternals (2021) and Magic Mike’s Last Dance (2023). Hayek also produced the Emmy Award-winning series Ugly Betty, which aired from 2006 to 2010.
Hayek began dating French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault in 2006, and the couple welcomed daughter Valentina the following year. Hayek and Pinault tied the knot in 2009. She is stepmother to Pinault’s three children from previous relationships: François, Mathilde and Augustin.
