T.I.

T.I. (born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr.) is a rapper, actor and producer. T.I. was born in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was raised by his grandparents. He began rapping at age eight and later adopted the stage name T.I., short for his childhood nickname Tip. He first began his career by selling mixtapes before being signed to Arista Records in 1999.

T.I. released his debut album, I’m Serious, in 2001, but it was 2003’s Trap Muzik that put him on the map. He followed it with Urban Legend (2004) and King (2008). The latter debuted at No. 1 and earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. His 2008 album, Paper Trail, produced several chart-topping singles and earned three Grammy Awards including Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for “Swagga Like Us” with Jay-Z.

In addition to music, T.I. gained attention for his acting roles in ATL (2006), American Gangster (2007), Takers (2010) and the Marvel film Ant-Man (2015) and its sequel. He also starred on the reality series T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.

T.I. married singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris in 2010. The couple share three children together: King (born in 2004), Major (born in 2008) and Heiress (born in 2016). He also has three other children from previous relationships: Messiah (born in 2000), Domani (born in 2001) and Deyjah (born in 2001).
