Chris Zylka

Chris Zylka is an actor and model.

Zykla was born Christopher Michael Settlemire in Howland Township, Ohio. He opted to use his mother’s maiden name for his professional moniker.

At 19 years old, Zykla moved from Ohio to Hollywood to pursue an acting career. While working in a restaurant Zylka was discovered by a manager and acting coach Jon Simmons. Before breaking out into TV and film, Zylka also modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch and various magazines including Wonderland, Glamoholic and Bello.

In 2008, Zylka scored his first TV guest appearance on The CW’s 90210 reboot. One year later, he snagged his leading role as Brigg Jenner in the TV movie My Super Psycho Sweet 16. In 2011, he joined the cast of The Secret Circle, which ran for one season on The CW. Three years later, he starred in all three seasons of the HBO drama The Leftovers.

Zylka has also been romantically linked to many famous names throughout his career. In 2012, he dated Lucy Hale for nine months. Two years later, Zylka was engaged to model Hanna Beth Merjos, but the pair called off their nuptials in 2015. In January 2018, Zylka proposed to Paris Hilton after one year of dating. However, the twosome broke up the following November.

In December 2024, Zylka was reportedly charged with multiple felonies following an altercation with the police in Warren, Ohio.
