Josh Duhamel

Josh Duhamel is an actor and former model best known for his roles in the Transformers film franchise and the long-running soap opera All My Children. Born in Minot, North Dakota, Duhamel attended Minot State University, where he played football and studied biology. He left school one credit short of graduating to pursue modeling, later completing his degree and graduating in 2005. His early career included winning a male modeling competition that led to work in television and commercials.

In his early years, Duhamel won a modeling competition in 1997, which led to him being cast as an extra in music videos including Chrstina Aguilera’s “Genie in a Bottle.” His acting career took off when he was cast as Leo du Pres on All My Children in 1999, a role that earned him a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor. He later gained wider recognition starring as Danny McCoy on Las Vegas from 2003 to 2008. His transition to film included a major role as Captain William Lennox in the Transformers series, which boosted his Hollywood profile.

In addition to Transformers, Duhamel has appeared in films such as When in Rome (2010), Ramona and Beezus (2010), You’re Not You (2014), Love, Simon (2018) and Safe Haven. His later television work includes projects like Love, Victor, The Thing About Pam and Ransom Canyon.

Duhamel married Fergie in 2009 after several years of dating. The couple welcomed son Axl Jack (born in 2013) before announcing their separation in 2017 and finalizing their divorce in 2019. He married Audra Mari in 2022, and the couple welcomed son Shepherd Lawrence (born in 2024).
