Jeff Goldblum

Jeff Goldblum began his acting career after moving to New York City at age 17. His early big successes included Woody Allen’s Annie Hall (1977), Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), Tenspeed and Brown Shoe (1980) and The Big Chill (1983).

Goldblum eventually became known for sci-fi and action-adventure flicks after leading in David Cronenberg’s remake of The Fly (1986), which also featured his then-wife Geena Davis.

He went on to star in blockbuster films such as the Jurassic Park franchise (starting in 1993), Independence Day (1996) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017). He also starred in comedies, including Nine Months (1995), Morning Glory (2010) and Asteroid City (2023).

Goldblum returned to television in 2009, making appearances in Law in Order: Criminal Intent as Detective Zack Nichols. He served on the show for 24 episodes from 2009 to 2010. In August 2024, he starred as Zeus in the Netflix Greek mythology series Kaos.

In November 2024, Goldblum landed the role of The Wizard in the highly anticipated musical movie Wicked, alongside Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey.

Goldblum was married to Silverado costar Patricia Gaul from 1980 to 1985. He later was married to Geena Davis from 1987 to 1990, whom he began dating while on the set of The Fly. In November 2014, he married former gymnast Emilie Livingston, they share two sons, Charlie (born July 2015) and River (born April 2017), making Goldblum a father for the first time at age 62.
